The OmniLogic Story The OmniLogic story begins with Sysworks in 1991: the brain child of Rod Hannaford. Anxious to start his own business and having been exposed to the SAP product, R/2, Rod saw an opportunity to develop an IT consulting organization where the highest quality of service and product would be delivered in support of SAP implementations.
Soon after its creation, Sysworks secured its first SAP project with Husky Oil at their Heavy Oil Upgrading Facility in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. At the same time, Evan Hu joined the organization and authored OmniLogic's methodology, Omniim.
Over the next couple of years, Rod and Evan grew their operation to 8 consultants, 2 projects and a new name, OmniLogic Systems Group. During the same period, their relationship strengthened with SAP Canada's Calgary office and OmniLogic's reputation as a dependable and reliable SAP implementor began to take shape within the Western Canadian customer base.
In 1993, OmniLogic became SAP Canada's first R/3 Logo Partner, providing assistance in all phases of an R/3 implementation project-going live, training and education. With proven expertise in employing best practices for effective business process reengineering, OmniLogic was now leading the ranks of business partners in redefining roles and systems, optimizing performance with SAP software.
Expansion has been the one constant for OmniLogic and 1994 saw Evan's move to start its Montreal office and the addition of two more partners. Dave Turk and Mike Alkier, both highly respected SAP consultants, joined the OmniLogic team in March of 1994 as full partners with responsibility for all business development in Eastern Canada. Dave began with responsibility for business operations in the east and Mike, national responsibility for Sales and Marketing.
In April 1995, majority interest in OmniLogic was acquired byPrice Waterhouse Canada, now PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Although the size of the business had changed, a couple of things have remained the same: the original partners are still around and OmniLogic is still a place where employees can find a professionally and personally rewarding place to work. It has grown to become the leading SAP implementation partner in Canada, winning the SAP Award of Excellence for Customer Satisfaction every year it has been awarded. It is continuously increasing its understanding of the unique requirements of Canadian business, attracting the finest consultants and having fun amidst all of its success and the success of its clients.
